Directions

1Prepare the marinade by putting in an airtight plastic bag, salmon, ginger, lemon and thyme. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

2Place the cedar plank in fresh water for 1 hour. You can also cook the salmon on a cast iron griddle; in this case, do not soak in water.

3Light the grill, put the drained cedar plank on the BBQ. The cedar plank is ready when it starts to crackle a bit; the cast iron griddle is ready when it is hot.

4Place the salmon on the plank and cover with aluminum foil (or close the grill if it has a lid). Cook for about 20 minutes. Drizzle marinade time to time during cooking.

Ingredients

1/2 salmon

15 cl olive oil

5 cm fresh ginger, diced

1 untreated cedar plank cut at the size of your grill or a griddle

1 lemon

fresh thyme
